I’ve spent a lot of time in Canada, mainly in the Canadian Rockies while writing Lonely Planet’s guidebook to Banff, Jasper and Glacier National Parks.

If I had a choice it’s probably where I’d spend most of my time – it’s fantastically beautiful, gloriously wild and home to some really amazing wildlife.
